Mullet Fishing - Float Fishing Rivers for Mullet - Perseverance Pays Of Big Time !!!!
#mulletfishing #fishingvideos #mullet_fishing @TheConstantAngler
Follow me as I float fish for Mullet. It appeared the fishing gods were against me but I persevered and was eventually rewarded with a stunning fish! Mullet can be very tricky to catch but get them feeding and they are eminently catchable. See how I mix up my groundbait with a rather special addition and float fish for them. When you hook a mullet there is nothing like it! They shoot off like fish torpedoes and never know when to give in. Float fishing for Mullet is great fun and you dont need expensive tackle or bait, so give it a go.

It doesn’t look much but there is enough there. With BFS you need to flick your wrist on the backstroke then push rather than snap on the forward stroke. This is a larger BFS reel so when casting lures below 3gr it is not ideal. If your regularly casting above these weights it could be beneficial to add a couple more magnets. It’s easy to do if you buy the correct 4mm x 0.5mm N52 magnets as you can just place however many you need on top of the original magnets thereby customising it to your needs. I have done this with both the Commando and Acura as I felt they were slightly underbraked. The Commando is effectively the same reel.

Apart from a second hand 123M I've never owned a Daiwa reel until recently. I've just got the EM4000LT which seems OK but not been used yet.Still not sure of the need for 10kg of drag though. The bearing numbers are just a gimmick at times. When you get up to a dozen it seems to me they're hiding shoddy engineering. The old Mitchell 300 managed for years with plain bearings.

@@jorvikangler loved the Mitchell 300 and Match. I agree some of these reels with a high bearing count are just hiding poor engineering

I bought this reel to take on holiday because it was pretty cheap on Black Friday and didn’t want to take my expensive gear as have had bad experiences with baggage handling at airports . Caught plenty of large fish including an 18lb yellow fin tuna which has way more power than anything you are going to catch in uk fresh water and it was flawless

Great to hear. Fills me with confidence for my own fishing. I bet that drag sang with the Tuna on.

Hi Ad, how have you been finding it overall, using a 15ft for float work? until late ive stuck with a 12ft,,, But since being more active again, ive noticed more swims where i could benefit with the extra

Hi mate. It definitely helps having a longer rod but as I have discovered if you have dodgy elbows it can annoy them. Great if you’re fine though. I am concentrating more on ledgering at the moment. Lost a good fish today to tackle failure. 8lb mono breaking. 🤣
